Mission Statement
We are parents of children with “unique needs” such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD and PDD/NOS. We want our children to have an opportunity to play sports and other activities where they may not have had the chance. We want our children to enjoy these activities in a welcoming environment in which the coaches, instructors, volunteers, and parents understand and appreciate the “unique needs” of our children. While participating in sports and other activities, our children will learn proper sportsmanship as well as important social and life skills. As we strive to provide opportunities for our children, our efforts will always be based on the statement “This is all about the kids”.
Our Purpose
To promote self esteem, self regulation and independence by mastering social and physical skills through incremental learning.
Our Focus
UniqueKids programs are developed to address the unique social and physical needs of children and adolescence through the use of structured social skills training and physical education. UniqueKids is committed to creating and maintaining a supportive, trusting, and caring environment where teaching and learning are motivating and students are assisted as they develop social and physical skills.
We believe that true success originates through appropriate training and consistency from:
- Parents and caregivers
- Siblings
- Teachers
- And the community
